Are the curved legs of your baby a matter of concern?

Curved legs may be observed in some babies after their birth. It eventually goes away within the first 2 years. However, in some cases, it has been observed that curved legs can be seen up to 9-10 years of age.

Curved legs are usually considered normal and no treatment is required for this. However, in some rare cases, due to some diseases, the legs may get curved.

Followings are some characteristics of curved legs which you need to know to make a necessary judgment between normal and abnormal cases. The details are as follows: –

  • If the legs are looked very very curved.
  • If only one leg is curved.
  • If the legs get more crooked after the age of two years.
  • If the knees of the baby remained very close together even after 7 years of age.
  • If the height of the baby stays very low.
